I didn’t noticed this behavior but to be fair, I probably don’t have the exact use case in any of my apps to reproduce it (often taking photo happens at an later stage than straight after boot).

Have you tried across different iOS versions? If it would works on a release but not the other, it might be a bug inside OS or Webkit?
